Interview with The Rev. Sam Dessórdi Leite of the Igreja Episcopal Anglicana do Brasil

Resolution A169 of the 2015 General Convention directed the SCLM “to prepare a plan for the comprehensive revision of the current Book of Common Prayer and present that plan to the 79th General Convention.” To gather information and opinions to shape its conversations, the members of the SCLM are interviewing Anglican partners who have recently revised their prayerbooks.

Third in the series is an interview with the Rev. Sam Dessórdi Leite, of the Igreja Episcopal Anglicana do Brasil.

  1. Delighted that you could interview both Custodians of the Brazilan Church. I talked to Sam at the 2006 General Convention and he was kind enough to invite me to come to Brazil. Alas, with no budget I had to decline the invite. Since Brazil has the only other Custodians that I am aware of, their input should be very helpful. I hope we can see a Portuguese ‘Selections’ soon for the growing Brazilian minority in the eastern portion of the US. Greg Howe
